Your artwork: how it feels
I get "bad thoughts" thrown into my head and I could never describe the feeling of knowing how to escape them but not being able to make them go. I painted this as a symbolic idea of how it feels.

“I used this to represent the feelings of hopelessness I get, and found it relieving to be able to finally express the truth, it helped me find the words to explain better my thoughts. That was the hardest thing but thinking of it figuratively really made a difference.
The girl has the key to open the happy place – with the stork which brings life; the free butterfly; the majestic magpie. But it’s because she has this key, that the shadow of it has stopped the cogs – she’s stuck with the tiger that kills; the dandilion that just spreads. On the other hand, she wants to stay, tempted by the snake and the berries.”
