Sorting Your Home Out Online

If you were born as little as 20 years ago, trying to sort out a living situation could often mean dealing with letting agent offices and wading through Yellow Pages. Our connected world has made this a lot easier...

A few months ago, I found myself in a position where I had to find a new place to live. It's never an easy situation to be in, especially when research from a few years ago found that 1 in 4 people would like to move home. Being met with this problem can be more than a little daunting. Your home is a precious thing and when that is called into question, it can be easy to start to panic. Luckily even the most casual of searches on the internet reveals that there are loads of people out there looking to get tenants in their property. You might even find the next place you'd want to rent on the likes of Gumtree, or on a newspaper site's listings. The best advice I can give is to have a clear idea of what you want and to try not to make any rash decisions. If you're further down the line and are thinking about buying a house, try playing around with online loan calculators to get an idea of what you'll need to be earning to be able to afford your own place. If you find yourself in a living situation which is untenable, you can use the internet to find a new place to settle.
